Audikt is a collaborative, issue based project between designers, artists and musicians, showcasing creative and musical talent. You can download all tracks, view covers, get information about the artists, read interviews and sometimes enjoy a few specials here. Audikt is operated by Danny Franzreb of Taobot and hosted by high velocity host Media Temple. Danny likes to thank his brothers at BD4D and especially all contributors for their support. Because we love music, design and you! Another reason was to create a platform for kick ass music and design beyond the mainstream. Are these tracks especially produced for Audikt? Most of them are. Some are taken from upcoming Cds and a few are special mixes for Audikt. Is downloading these tracks legal? Yes it is. All contributors, studios, producers etc. agreed to have their tracks online and submitted them their selves. We even set up contracts and stuff cause music rights are so much fun, so don't be afraid. Can I use these tracks for my next commericial or private project? Nope, sorry. You may only use these tracks on a private basis. Please refer to our Terms Of Use for detailed information. But we guess a lot of these musicians would be more than happy to get in contact with you and to maybe produce a nice track for your next project. Where can I get more tracks by these musicians? Please check the artists website for additional information about tracks and albums. How do I contact a musician / designer? Either through the artists website or through us. Please send an email to contact at audikt.com. How can I contribute to Audikt? Please refer to our support and interact sections. What is the fonts name you used on Audikt and where can I get it? The fonts name is Audikt, we created it in conjunction with XPDR and you can download it on our main site for free. Do you make money out of this? No. Audikt is a non-profit organization, we don't get money by anyone and no one is paid to contribute to this project. Does "fueled by (mt)" mean that you get sponsored hosting? Yes, Audikt is hosted by Media Temple. Since we got quite a few tracks and designs on the site, we are in need of bandwidth and a fast server. Both are provided by Media Temple and we recommend them, if you want your site to run smooth. What technologies did you use to built the site? We used HTML, CSS, PHP, XML, SQL and a little bit of Flash. Does my browser need to accept cookies? No, but you only need to accept our Terms Of Use once, if it does. Otherwise you'll have to agree to our terms any time you want to download a track. Do you have some sort of press kit? Not really, just contact us if you need any further information or materials. |
